Description
Lot #338.1 - This car was originally purchased in Oregon by Mickey Lolich when he signed as a pitcher for the Detroit Tigers. He didn't like the 2-speed automatic, so he sold it to his parents. In 1996, it was bought and brought to Michigan, where it went through a frame-on restoration. A 428ci motor with the 421 badges and a 3-speed automatic transmission were installed. At that time, it also got a custom paint job, a modern AM/FM radio was installed in the glove box, and an electric antenna and trunk opener were installed. In 2008, the current owner purchased the vehicle with 70,000 miles. The motor was rebuilt and a 4-speed 4L60E automatic transmission was installed. The wiring was replaced and gauges made to work properly (except the clock and original radio). Front disc brakes were also added. The car was completely reworked to insure dependable cruising. New 15" tires and wheels were added 1,500 miles ago, but the original 14" wheels and caps are included in sale, along with touch-up paint. PHS paperwork and owner's manual are also included. Since 1996, this car has been stored and covered in a heated garage. It has 72,400 miles (mileage not indicated on the title).
