Description
Lot #636 - This 1962 Catalina comes with a documented factory race spec 425A "Trophy Engine." It is theorized that it is one of less than approximately 2,092 manufactured with that engine in all body styles, including 29 station wagons, and fewer with Tri-Power. It has undergone a full restoration with incredible attention to detail, assembly-line markings and factory chalk marks, as well as instruction tags and even a date-coded battery. It's finished in Belmar Red with optional bucket seats and big brake wheels. Runs and drives beautifully. It was built November 8, 1961. Everything works as new, including the clock, lights, radio and gauges. Matching-numbers and original (as manufactured) engine, T-10 4-speed transmission and original keys - very rare for a muscle car of this era. All proper paints and metal finishes specific to this vehicle were refurbished to as-new condition. Pontiac Historical Society paperwork; sold new at Queen City Pontiac in Plainfield, NJ. AACA Junior and Senior Awards, AACA National Award for Outstanding Senior Car Eastern Division, AACA Grand National Senior Awards, National Pontiac Club First Place and Gold Award. Many Best of Shows, seven grille badges go with car as pedigree, Florida Pontiac Club Best of Show 2015.
