Lot #417 - Here is a rare and inspired Art Deco 1947 Lincoln Zephyr. It is truly an exceptional fun driver. This hot rod Lincoln has an agile Ford 351 Cleveland 8- cylinder power plant with a Ford C6 automatic transmission. Power steering and power brakes make for easy highway cruising. A 21', two-door convertible coupe runs straight making long distance shows a real treat. Other amenities include electric windows, power top, air conditioning and a technically advanced stereo system is discretely blended into the interior chrome dash board, power antenna, and a large rear trunk for storage, spare tire and luggage. Foot-controlled high and low beam headlights, fog lights, running lights, dash lights and under dash floor lamps, make night driving functional and safe. A converted 12-volt electrical system makes start-ups easy. The car has a newer drivetrain and recently had the rear bearings replaced, independent leaf suspension, Cooper full white wall tires, mechanical parts are readily available. Car is used exclusively in the dry warmer months and garaged and stored for the winter months. A mid-1980s complete restoration accommodated a Resto-Mod mechanical transformation (sleeper), while the exterior remained true with all original steel in excellent condition. Last year the interior underwent a re-upholstery, replacing the worn original fabric, with leather and piping throughout.
