Description
Lot #741 - Offered by Gas Monkey Garage, who acquired this extremely well-executed custom street rod from Chip Foose in a trade for a car his father, Sam Foose, had built back in the '70s. This really well-sorted 1941 Lincoln Zephyr was built utilizing Lincoln Navigator rear independent suspension with Air Ride Technologies providing the adjustable ride height. A modern 4.6-liter fuel-injected twin-cam Lincoln V8 and automatic transmission provide plenty of reliable power for cruising with the top down and the air conditioning cranking for one cool ride. The paint and body work are phenomenal, with attention to detail evident everywhere - from door gaps to chrome trim fit and finish. Interior is one often-overlooked area on custom street rods and is what really defines the Best of Show from the "rest of show." This 1941 Lincoln Zephyr doesn't disappoint with tastefully appointed and updated controls, and modern conveniences such as electronic gauges housed in a retro-styled instrument bezel, air conditioning and keyless remote entry - all set in a really well-executed interior that is worthy of such a rare and desirable car. Underside photos reveal a really well-thought-out layout with a well-integrated drivetrain featuring a modern electronic automatic transmission, power rack & pinion steering, 4-wheel power disc brakes and 4-wheel independent suspension riding on air.
