Description
Lot #342 - This Custom Cab Camper Special has approximately 91,000 original miles, (title reads mileage exempt). This is an original truck that has been stored away for years on the West Coast. The 352/208hp V8 runs strong. The Camper Edition was built heavier to accommodate the increasingly popular slide-in campers. This F250 is a lot of fun to drive, it's a 2-wheel drive with a 4-speed manual transmission. The paint shows a nice patina that indicates how well it has been kept over the years, with no visual signs of rust. The interior has a custom sound system installed and has been lightly refreshed. It features a twin I-beam suspension, supported by coil springs, to assist in the extra weight the Camper Special hauled. In the late 1980s, it was upgraded with electronic ignition and intermittent wipers, and repainted the original turquoise. Between 2002 and 2008, the clutch, brakes, wheel bearings, U-joints, water pump and alternator were replaced. More recently, the spray-in bed liner was added, and an upgraded Pioneer sound system that has iPod integration was hidden in the glove box. It also has high-end focal speakers in the doors that sound amazing. With a brand-new battery and having been freshly serviced, this F250 is an excellent driver, runs excellent, stops great and drives down the highway like it should.
