Lot #142 - The craftsmanship and fit and finish of this truly stunning vehicle are incredible. This custom-built 1987 Chevy C1500 has had a complete frame-off restoration. The paint and bodywork are flawless with Ferrari Red paint and color matched spray-in bed liner. The chassis has been sand-blasted and powder-coated. It has new front and rear chrome bumpers, and a new 1989 Suburban-style grille with composite headlights. The interior features Corbeau red and black racing seats with 5-point red seatbelt harnesses, complete custom color-matched fabricated center seat with armrest covered in Corbeau fabric. It also has new carpet, headliner and door panels. Auto Meter carbon-fiber gauges. This C10 is equipped with a GM ZZ 502ci Ram Jet crate engine producing 500hp and 540 ft/lbs of torque. It has polished ceramic-coated 1-3/4" Hooker full-length headers, custom one-off 3" stainless-steel exhaust with custom stainless-steel tips. Over 43 hours of labor alone went into just the exhaust build. It even has a brand-new complete air-conditioning system. New dual GM gas tanks feed the Aeromotive fuel system with 255 LPH fuel pumps in both brand-new tanks. Custom one-off fuel selector valves with check valves operated off factory fuel switch working with Auto Meter fuel gauge. The transmission is a GM 4L80E with a Lokar column shift linkage kit and a 2,000 rpm stall converter, equipped with a TCI handheld transmission programmer. Cooling is provided by B&M transmission cooler with 5,500 cfm Derale high-output dual radiator cooling fans. It has a stock GM transfer case, custom-made schedule 80 telescoping front and rear driveshafts with Spicer U-joints and yokes, and 3/4-ton front and rear GM axles with Warren manual locking hubs. Other features include front and rear Detroit Locker differentials with 4.56 gear ratio, front and rear disc brakes, custom front and rear powder-coated 4-link suspension and 4-mono King-brand shocks with front and rear suspension travel limiter straps. It rides on 17x12" Weld Racing wheels with Mickey Thompson tires.
