Description
Lot #73 - Only 1,800 of the Road Runner GTX 440s were built in the entire '72-74 production, and this is one of the 749 built in 1973. This one has 53,281 original miles (title reads exempt) with documentation, matching numbers, entire history of three owners and always collector-owned. The Window Sticker with the car makes this a very rare survivor. It's an automatic 727 with Mopar slap-shift that was ordered as a brass-hat. It has air conditioning, power brakes, power steering and lots of other high-end options, including deluxe bucket-seat interior. The brass-hat executive who drove it at the dealership then bought the car and retained it for 30 years. Its originality and care shows; even the original front seat skins and carpets are still nice. The only rust has been repaired with welded panels in the very lower of the rear quarters. All the rest is pure original Mopar. The repaint, in original B5 True Blue base coat/clear coat, speaks for itself. Lots of recent work makes it a reliable, sorted driver. Brakes, steering, water pump, rear engine seal, transmission as well as fluids, battery and tires have been done. The air conditioning has been modernized. The car is ready to drive and enjoy.
