Lot #1545 - Finished in the original livery of Pewter Polly, flat black accents with orange and red stripes. The Pace Car stood out from the crowd as was finished in special "Indy 500" Decals to mark the annual Indy 500 race, in this case held on May 27, 1979. Although this may not be the most highly powered Mustang ever built, the shear attention to detail to make the Pace car something special was certainly not missed. The Custom fog lights, rear spoiler and Recaro seats were just a few additions that made the "Pace Car" Special. This vehicle underwent a very detailed restoration to bring this Pace Car back to it's original condition. With the original drive train in tact and all details brought back to the day it left the factory.
