Description
Lot #700 - A 1,200-hour restoration was started in 2012 and completed in 2014. The boat now has 601 original hours on it. To start with, a new aluminum TNT tandem-axle trailer with all-wheel disc brakes was purchased. The boat was then torn down to bare bones with the top marine-grade plywood replaced over the upper deck roof and the galley roof, as well as the front bow section and rear wrap-around stern sections. All appliances were removed in the galley, mahogany floor at the helm, windows and all glass were removed. The boat was stripped to bare teak, and refinished with three coats of Cetol Marine over a period of three weeks. The side windows were replaced with bronze glass, and the upper and lower windshields were replaced with bronze glass and encapsulated moldings that are waterproof. The helm roof was redesigned to give the boat a sport-roof appearance. The fiberglass hull was finished in old-school Dupont Centari that gives it a dated appearance, with a gold-finished stripe separating the dark green and white. The registration numbers and stern lettering were finished by hand. The galley interior was refinished with Cetol Marine, with new carpet, bow, seat and table coverings. The lighting was updated with new DC lights. The head and galley sink top was updated with new fixtures. New carpet was also added in the galley, with plastic covering installed over the carpet. The appliances and head work fine, and the refrigerator is AC/DC. The water heater was replaced, and the boat was rewired by the prior owner and is in good shape. The outer coverings were replaced in marine-grade vinyl, and four oval halogen headlights were installed on the upper and lower windshield frames. The bow-rub rail and the railing were replaced with stainless. This is a one-of-one classic full size boat owned by the current owner for 18 years and is fully out fitted and ready to enjoy.
