Description
Lot #340 - This Super Bee is a one-owner car with complete documentation from the initial sales order, Broadcast Sheet and QC punch list. The car was purchased in New Britain, CT, and features a high-performance 383ci Magnum engine, manual 4-speed transmission, bucket seats and center console. This is one of 3,966 Super Bee coupes built in 1970. There has been some repaint, a new interior and the engine was rebuilt in 2002. This is the original engine. There are no power accessories. The engine compartment is clean. The engine was repaired during the rebuild. No leaks or seepage. The battery is the proper Mopar brand and the original coolant label is present on the radiator support, although unreadable. The condition of the frame and underbody is consistent with the age and mileage of the vehicle. The exhaust system was replaced in 2003. It rides on good condition Dunlop 225/70R14 tires over factory wheels. The rear bumper is straight with a smooth, reflective surface. The front bumpers are straight with age pitting and lower reflectivity. The interior was replaced and rewired in 2007. The padded dashboard is in excellent condition, the instruments lenses are clear and the wood grain facing is in excellent condition. The seats, carpeting, door panels and interior hardware all excellent. It features factory AM radio and original pistol-grip shifter in center console. The trunk is clean with no rust visible and has spare tire and original tools. This is a very well-maintained car that's been enjoyed and does not show its age or mileage when viewed at a distance. The car starts easily and the Flowmaster exhaust system has the "right" sound. From 20 feet away, this car looks very good and even at 10 feet, the aging is not readily apparent. Although not in show condition, this fun drive can be displayed and appreciated.
