Description
Lot #851 - Galpin Auto Sports took a 1968 Ranchero and created an awesome custom. First, the team dismantled the car, then refurbished, rebuilt and modified components of the vehicle. Powering this custom is a Barrington Engines custom Boss 351 engine backed up by an original Ford 4-speed transmission rebuilt and modified for road racing. Power is transmitted through a Currie 9" rear end with heavy-duty axles and 3.89 Trak-Lok. The vehicle also incorporates a Total Control Products coilover front suspension system, Maeco Motorsports modified road racing rear suspension system, Varishock adjustable shocks, McLeod racing clutch, handmade custom grille and aluminum bed cover. Keeping it to the ground are American Racing 427 Cobra-style wheels with Nitto tires. To stop the machine, Galpin Auto Sports installed a Wilwood 4-wheel disc brake system. The interior features a custom roll cage, Scat Elite bucket seats with a 5-point racing seatbelt system, and to keep it old school, a factory original AM radio.
