Lot #7001 - A concours-level restoration on a 1967 Pontiac GTO hardtop, a very rare automobile. This car's original build configuration, well-documented by Pontiac Historical Services, confirms this car to be one of the most highly optioned GTOs ever seen. It is still very much a high-performance muscle car - a very unique combination of sport and luxury. Backing up the GTO-specific 400ci V8 is a Hurst dual-gate shifted automatic, and additional equipment includes air conditioning, power brakes, steering and windows, tilt wheel, stereo radio with tape player and a long list of other additional cost options. Some of those were very seldom seen. It has undergone a total rotisserie restoration to show-winning standards and was completed in 2006, resulting in First Place awards at the 2010 Pontiac Nationals and Best in Show at the 2012 Pontiac International Celebration.
