Lot #37 - This vehicle is a professionally restored 1965 VW Beetle. It received a ground-up restoration that included complete two-stage base coat/clear coat paint in the original Bahama Blue VW color. All the rubber weather-stripping was replaced, as well as the windshield and moldings. It has a new professionally installed interior, new bumper and overriders. Exterior trim is new, as is the German-styled carpet, which was also used in the trunk. The vehicle has new tires, chrome rims and Porsche-style headlamps. It has a high-quality stereo with custom speakers. The electrical system was converted to 12-volt. 4-speed manual transmission. In short, there was no expense spared in the restoration. It has won several trophies in car shows. A matching-numbers car.
