Lot #847 - Designed by Harley Earl, the styling on this 1947 Cadillac Series 62 Club Coupe is timeless. It has beautiful torpedo style coachwork with a large egg crate grille and long front fenders. The Series 62 was Cadillac's best selling two-door model in 1947 with 7,245 sold. This Cadillac was owned by a Media Mogul Billionaire as part of his car collection. After a complete restoration it was driven by the owner and then stored. This Cadillac has been stored for years inside a climate controlled storage facility in the dry desert southwest. Only a minimum amount of work was needed to get this car in proper running order and it is ready to go. This Cadillac is equipped with a 346/150 HP flathead V-8 engine and automatic transmission. The custom Bright Red on Red color scheme is a head turner wherever it goes. The Custom Red interior with pleated upholstery is period-correct and is in beautiful condition.
