Description
Lot #1377 - Once owned by Barrett-Jackson matriarch Nellie Jackson, who drove this 1934 Cadillac Model 370D V12 Fleetwood coupe Style 5776 from Michigan to Scottsdale. The treasured car was entered in early Classic Car Club shows. The V12 was produced by Cadillac from 1931-1937 as Cadillac's only standard production of the V12 power car. The 1934 370D was restyled and mounted on a new chassis with a 146" wheelbase. The restyling included slanting the radiator grille and windshield rearwards and mounting the headlights on a streamlined support by enclosed new teardrop housing. The horn was moved under the hood, the spare tire was concealed and the whole car sat 2" lower to the ground. The mechanically advanced coupe, which has a 3-speed manual transmission, was supported by a dual X-frame chassis, front coil spring suspension and Hotchkiss steering.
