The grandson of the original owner inherited the car in 1980 after his grandfather's passing, parked it in the family barn and never drove it again. Upon the grandson's death in November 2008, the County of Pershing, NV held an estate sale in May 2009 and auctioned off the car. Features include a fully rebuilt 283 engine, 3-speed manual transmission, 3.55 ratio rear axle, new aluminized exhaust system, new gas tank and sending unit, new fuel lines and brakes lines, original spiral shock absorbers, original spare, jack and trunk mat, and outstanding original glass. The original stainless trim has been polished, all chrome has been beautifully replated. It features factory original upholstery, door panels and headliner. The rubber floor covering is correct reproduction. It has been beautifully refinished in the original Matador Red. This car is rock solid and arrow straight. It has 100% of its original sheet metal with excellent factory fit. The undercarriage and engine bay are outstanding and highly detailed throughout.
