Description
Lot #1296 - Kindig-It Design-built 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible. This car was completely disassembled and built new on a custom Art Morrison chassis. It was finished in early 2013 and has won countless awards at shows around the country. This Galaxie has been featured at SEMA in 2013, where it took home a coveted Ford design award and was also featured in Hot Rod magazine in May 2014. Most recognizably, it was also featured on Velocity Channel's hit show "Bitchin Rides." No expense was spared in creating this concept. This completely custom build is powered by Ford Racing's modern DOHC Coyote 5.0-liter V8 force fed by an Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger. No less than six cowhides of top-shelf red leather make up the custom interior created by JS Custom Interiors. This custom Galaxie features all of the latest hot-rod goodies, including 4-wheel Wilwood power disc brakes, Detroit Speed power rack & pinion steering, Strange 9" rear end, coilover suspension, Billet Specialties wheels, Ford 6-speed AODe transmission, air conditioning by Vintage Air, American Autowire Electrical, power custom convertible top by JS Customs, power windows, E-Stopp electric E-brake, Flowmaster exhaust and Kicker audio. Countless custom-fabricated signature touches by Dave Kindig and his team, including Kindig-It smooth door handles, Hot Match gas cap, custom narrowed and smoothed bumpers, perfect body work and an over-the-top engine bay. Built to be driven, this Galaxie is big, fast and unbelievably fun. Vehicle titled as a 1965 Ford Special Constructed.
