Description
Lot #1375 - Series 1101. 319/120hp inline 8-cylinder engine, 3-speed manual transmission, solid front and rear axles with semi-elliptic leaf springs and 4-wheel mechanical drum brakes. It has a 136.25" wheelbase. This handsome 1933 Packard 2/4-passenger coupe was delivered new in September 1933 and it continues to display a high-quality restoration today. It is finished in a very attractive two-tone red and maroon color scheme, accented by a maroon beltline with red pinstriping. The exterior is further complemented by very good brightwork, dual fender-mounted lights, a Goddess of Speed mascot, dual side-mounted spare tires with metal covers and chrome-plated rearview mirrors, a rear-mounted trunk rack and red painted wire wheels with bright hubcaps and wide whitewall tires. Meanwhile, the inviting interior is trimmed with tan leather and matching tan carpeting and has been meticulously maintained. The woodgrain dashboard features Packard's traditional burled Carpathian Elm, which is exceptionally elegant in combination with the jewel-like instrument cluster. To the rear, the delightful rumble seat is upholstered in matching tan leather. In addition, the coupe features a highly detailed engine, engine bay and undercarriage, consistent with the rest of the car.
