Description
Lot #1018 - Factory R-code with Cobra Jet and Ram Air Shaker Hood also has factory W-code Super Jet, 4.30 Drag Pack and was a special ordered radio delete car. Rare Pastel Gray with black interior, C6 automatic transmission with optional factory tach. This is a fully documented one-of-one car with elite framed Marti Report. It has 49,345 actual miles (miles not on title). Fresh, rotisserie concours restoration that has beautiful professional paint and attention to detail. The interior is all new. The entire date-code-correct drivetrain is freshly rebuilt to better-than-new specs. The engine, transmission, rear end, suspension, brakes, exhaust, wiring, fuel system and interior have all been rebuilt or replaced. It rides on correct Goodyear tires with spare tire and jack. The trunk has been detailed. It has an Autolite battery and correct smog system. This car is truly one of the rarest and fastest factory muscle cars of its era. The only options on the car were ordered with speed in mind. As ordered, the car was truly "race ready." This restoration was a complete with no expense spared. Of the 299,036 1969 Mustangs built, 131,819 were non-Shelby sports roof cars. Of those, 10,130 were built with 428-4V Ram Air engines, of which 4,277 came with C6 automatic transmissions. 76 of those were painted Pastel Gray, and 51 of those had Black Mach 1 Bucket seats. Of those, 12 had 428 Super Cobra Jet engines, of which three had 4.30 Traction-Lok rear axles. One of them had no radio. This is that Mustang. This is one of the rarest and most collectable muscle cars of all time. A truly legendary car.
