Description
Lot #1355 - 265/195hp V8 engine, Powerglide transmission, Wonder Bar radio, parking brake alarm, heater, courtesy lights, windshield washers, Gypsy Red with ivory/red stitch interior. Only 700 Corvettes were built in 1955, second in production quantity only to 1953 with 300 units. This Corvette was professionally restored from a rust-free Arizona matching-numbers car. It still has the original engine, transmission and rear end. The chassis was 100% rust-free with an excellent straight body. All major components are matching-numbers original parts. The original interior was still in good condition and could have been used; this was a nice survivor car. The engine components were all free of rust pitting. This car has been stored in a climate-controlled museum garage since restoration. The body and paint are excellent. It has received an NCRS Top Flight award and Bloomington Gold Certification.
