Lot #1285 - A modern feel with a vintage look. Placed on a rotisserie, the exterior, interior and underbody areas were stripped to bare metal and professionally refinished in factory two-tone colors (base coat/clear coat). All factory interior/exterior trim, stainless and chrome component surfaces were restored or replaced as required. Smoothed bumpers and shaved hood emblem round out the exterior package, and Cray Corvette-style wheels wrapped in Nitto speed-rated radial tires. The chassis/body is mounted on a specifically prepared Paul Newman Car Creations frame utilizing Corvette C4 fully independent suspension on all four corners. Features include lightweight aluminum control arms and transmission cross member, stabilizer bars, Corvette differential assembly, rack & pinion power steering and 4-wheel disc brakes with Hydratech power assist. Other items include Bilstein shocks, stainless brake lines and a stainless 22-gallon fuel tank. Powering this jewel is a fuel-injected LS1 Police Interceptor V8 with aluminum block and cylinder heads. Transferring the power is handled through a GM-4L60E automatic overdrive transmission with aluminum driveline. Features include computer-controlled fuel injection with Painless harness and wiring, custom battery and all bolt-on sheet metal powder-coated satin black. Inside, you will find the same level of detail combined with all of the creature comforts you would expect. Prior to the tedious fitting of the interior, the entire interior cabin floor was treated to AcoustiShield heat/sound insulation and plastic skinned between the side panels and doors to prevent any interior dust/moisture issues. Features include OEM reproduction upholstery, carpet/headliner, glorious factory brightwork, power windows, chrome Ididit steering column, resized steering wheel, single-key operation for the entire car, electronic Vintage air conditioner, Classic Instruments Belera II gauges and clock, under-dash RainGear wiper system, Custom Auto Sound USA-1 audio with auxiliary connection (enables Satellite radio, MP3, iPad) and 100-watt Kicker speakers.
