Lot #822 - 1992 GMC Typhoon with only 34,000 actual miles. This Typhoon is a lifelong Arizona truck and just underwent a full cosmetic restoration led by a Typhoon/Cyclone expert and no expenses were spared. This is a rare opportunity to own one of the best collector grade Typhoons on the market in one of the rarest colors produced. The Typhoon was the Jimmy-based SUV version of GMC's Cyclone, a turbocharged, all-wheel-drive truck that had technology and performance to rival supercars of the day. With a turbocharged and inter-cooled 4.3-liter V6 mated to a 4-speed automatic, the Typhoon made a whopping 280hp and 360 ft/lbs of torque. This gave the Typhoon a 0-60 time of just 5.3-seconds, and hit the quarter mile in just 14.1 at 95-mph. While GMC made almost 4,700 Typhoons from 1992-1993, finding one in such good shape as this Bright Teal version here is a tall order. Bright Teal was only available on 1992 models. This vehicle shows a minor accident on CARFAX, but pictures of the damage to tailgate are available and was professionally repaired during restoration.
