Lot #709 - This is an outstanding example of an early 1965 Corvette "Fuelie." Only 771 fuel-injected Corvettes were produced in 1965. This California original car underwent a body-off restoration and was finished to the highest standards, which its awards document. It has been correctly finished in Rally Red lacquer paint with a white and red interior, a very rare color combination. The engine compartment is highly detailed and home to the matching-numbers L84 fuel-injected 327/375hp V8. It's well-optioned with 4-speed manual transmission, 3.70 rear end, F40 suspension, off-road exhaust, power windows, power brakes and genuine knock-off wheels with Goldline tires. Since completion of the restoration, it's been awarded Bloomington Gold, NCRS Top Flight and Chevy Vettefest Gold Spinner Honors.
