Description
Lot #762 - This 1929 Packard 640 roadster is finished in two-tone blue with yellow coachline and lovely canework added to the doors. It also has a brown leather interior and tan cloth convertible top with matching top boot. Lavishly appointed and equipped in typical Packard fashion, it features chrome-plated disc-wheels, chrome-plated lock rings, Trippe lights, cowl lights, dual spotlights on the windshield frame, wind wings, dual side-mount spares with chrome rearview mirrors and stainless steel radiator stone guard. Adonis radiator mascot, folding windshield, rumble seat and golf bag door. This beautiful 640 roadster remained in one family for the last 30 years and received a thorough restoration about 15 years ago. It still shows very well cosmetically and a recent front-to-back, top-to-bottom service by a marque specialist has ensured worry-free running and driving. It drives like a brand-new restoration with the smooth, quiet, effortless and satisfying motoring experience that is expected of a classic Packard.
