Carroll Shelby came over to the Chrysler Corporation in the early '80s and produced a long series of cars that maximized the performance and durability of the veritable 2.2-liter Chrysler engine. By 1986, Shelby had earned a reputation for turning compact, fuel-efficient cars into real sports cars. GLHS (Goes Like Hell S'more). 1,000 GLHS Chargers were built and all came in menacing black with a special silver interior. This is car Number 647. The GLHS features the 2.2-liter 4-cylinder Turbo II engine system upgrades and intercooler with a short-throw 5-speed manual transmission. Mechanically, the car runs exceptionally well and has received new front struts, front axle CV boots, rear-wheel bearings and all new fluids. Everything else is original to the car and remains in great condition. This GLHS has all original bodywork and paint, and is complete with all Shelby GLHS emblems and unique decals. Also completely original is the interior of the car, which looks like new. Number 647 came fully loaded including the optional factory sunroof, rear defrost, rear hatch release and air conditioning, all of which work as intended. Included with the car are all the original purchase documents, books and the Window Sticker.
