Description
Lot #745 - Build began in April 2012, starting with an L.A. and Southern California-raised rust-free car that was retired to a garage in 1973. This vehicle presents all-original sheet metal, including all floors, with a replacement recessed firewall for modern engine and transmission fusion. Body was sanded to bare metal and finished professionally, with filler used only for perfection leveling. All interior surfaces were treated with a rust inhibitor and Dynamat Extreme was applied to all floors, doors and interior roof. The Pacific Sunset Fusion Orange color contains five extra-fine metallic colors and two colors of pearl, making this blend absolutely stunning on a laser-straight body. Some molding was removed for a semi-smooth modern look, but maintaining the classic look of a very rare Nomad. Transmission is a 4L60E that was pro-built to support the additional horsepower and torque produced by the power plant. 3" aluminum driveline by Inland Empire and Hooker high-flow and ported cast headers, MagnaFlow Pro Flow mufflers and 2-3/4-inch mandrel drawn tubing coated with special high-temp ceramic coating. A Moser Super Track differential with Strange 32 spline axles handles the massive torque requirements needed. U.S. Mag Bandit 18x8 front wheels with Nitto Extreme 225x40ZR18 tires and 20x10 rear wheels with Nitto Extreme 265x35ZR20 tires.
