Lot #327 - The Bentley Turbo R was a high-performance model produced by Bentley Motors Unlimited. The "R" stood for "roadholding", to set it apart from its predecessor. It initially inherited the turbocharged engine from the Mulsanne Turbo and also sported a retuned suspension and wider tires on alloy wheels, a first for Bentley. A "New" Turbo R model was introduced in 1995. Changes included Zytek fuel injection and appearance modifications. This particular 1996 Bentley Turbo R is a 2 owner California car, spending most of its life in Southern California until 2010 when she left the West Coast and headed to North Carolina, eventually winding up in the Sunshine State. This car has been meticulously serviced and cared for its entire life, most recently in February of 2015 by the renowned Bentley service facility, Vantage Motor Works, in North Miami, Florida.
