Lot #413 - Corvette convertible with a correct, rare, one-year-only offering: the coveted 396/425hp Mark IV motor. Only 2,157 were ever made in both coupe and convertible. This car was sold new 6/30/65 to the original owner (R.J. Winterroth) by Alan Green Chevrolet In Seattle, WA. It then sold to James Dillon in Stuart, FL. On 2/7/95 and then to the current owner in 1997. Until now, the current owner has had it displayed it in his museum since 1997. This car has been totally maintained and serviced with only 2,500 miles in 17 years. This is a great, contrasting color combination, having received its only repaint in 1995 in the original Nassau Blue with original black interior with date coded black soft top. It has 38,335 original miles; title reads exempt. This convertible is loaded with all the toys, including the big block 396/425hp motor with power bulge hood, teak steering wheel, 4-wheel disc brakes, tinted glass, M-21 4-speed with 3.70 posi-traction, power antenna, knock-off wheels, k-66 transistor ignition, factory side exhaust pipes, matching auxiliary hard top, original radio system, and deluxe seat belts. And, those knock-offs are topped off with new whitewall radials for one great ride. It is complete with original Protect-O-Plate, owner's manual in the original Chevrolet folder, warranty booklet, with name and title trace through all three owners. This is a solid number 2 car. Show it or drive it - either way it's enjoyable. The chrome and all the glass on this car are beautiful. The paint is very nice as well.
