Lot #184 - This particular Firebird has been tastefully restored. It comes equipped with over 26 factory options, PHS documents included. Options include evaporative emissions system, Cordova top, fiberglass tires, turbo Hydramatic transmission, AM/FM radio, front and rear seat console, recessed windshield wipers, Formula steering wheel, honeycomb wheels, belt reveal mouldings, door edge guards, variable-ratio power steering, power brakes, tilt steering wheel, front and rear floor mats, all windows are Soft Ray glass, power windows, air conditioning, hood air inlet, convenience lamps, rally gauge cluster clock and tachometer and custom trim (trunk mat, rear quarter ashtrays, body color door handle inlets, deluxe front bucket seats, roof panel instrumentation and custom door/quarter interior trim). All of these options can be seen on the PHS documentation. The exterior has been updated in a brilliant shade of red and interior to black. There are black stripes on each side of the car and Ram Air decals on the nostrils of the Ram Air inlets on the hood. The chrome is in wonderful condition and shines bright with luminescent luster. This Firebird sits on four correct 15" honeycomb wheels wrapped in white-letter BFGoodrich tires that really set off the entire look of this muscle car. The black interior is in excellent shape and shows no major signs of wear or tear. The Firebird floor mats are in great condition and intact to protect the black carpet. An aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo is installed. The gauges are 1971 correct and look great. Under the hood, is a YE-code 455ci, HO, V8 engine with a 4-barrel carburetor. This particular engine is mated with a turbo Hydramatic automatic transmission, there is also power steering, power brakes and air conditioning. This is a great example of a rarely seen, highly optioned, 455 HO Ram Air Firebird Formula.
