Lot #476 - Built to be driven. This original 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport 396 SS 4-speed is a California car, owned since 2006, with a rotisserie restoration completed in 2014. This car has been driven less than 80 miles since the restoration. Options include a gauge package with factory tachometer, bucket seats and console. This car retains its original quarters, doors, fenders, hood and bumpers. Exterior finish is Dupont base coat/clear coat, including the underside. The frame and other hard parts are powder coated for the maximum protection. This car shows fantastic fit and finish with beautiful body lines. The engine is a period-correct 427 with 4-bolt mains, topped off with factory aluminum heads, intake and 850cfm Holley carburetor, professionally built, balanced and blueprinted to L88 specifications. The engine was dyno tuned and produces 550.4hp at 6,100 rpm on 93 octane pump gas. The power is connected to the rear wheels through a Centerforce dual-friction clutch, through an original M22 Rock Crusher transmission to the 12-bolt 3.73 posi-traction rear axle. The engine is cooled by an aluminum radiator. Other options include Hotchkis suspension, Vintage Air, 4-wheel disc brakes and power steering. The completely restored interior includes new seat covers, headliner, door panels and AM/FM radio. This car sits on 17" American wheels with BFGoodrich rubber to give an updated classic look.
