It was originally equipped with a heavy-duty M40 Turbo 400 automatic, which was removed and converted over to a Richmond 5-speed manual transmission, matching numbers M40 Turbo 400 included. Drivability is greatly improved with the modern 5-speed gearbox, and the LT1 power plant pulls hard in all gears. The code 712 deluxe black interior of this Z/28 is outfitted with 1970-only low-back bucket seats, beautiful wood trim throughout, a Hurst shifter, a modern CD player, a clock and its original 8,000 rpm tachometer.
