Description
Lot #1326 - Pantera was a sports car produced by the DeTomaso car company of Italy from 1971 until 1991. Pantera is Italian for panther. Their popularity continues to skyrocket and this one is ready for the open road. This Pantera has benefitted from a recent restoration in 2012 and has a professionally built Cleveland 351cid V8 with extra goodies on it. It sounds and drives as good as it looks. The black paint is in beautiful condition and shows very few minor imperfections. The Chrome trim is in excellent condition as well - with a brilliant shine. The black leather seats, black carpet, door panels and headliner all in excellent shape. The black dashboard houses all of the original Veglia Pantera gauges that look great. The gauges are reminiscent of an airplane cockpit and look very futuristic for 1972. There is also an AM/FM/cassette Fultron stereo in the dashboard as well. This Pantera has power windows. Under the hood, the engine is pure American: the thoroughbred 351cid Ford V8 mated with a gated 5-speed ZF manual transmission. This Pantera has benefitted from an upgraded Holley 600cfm carburetor and MSD ignition. Other performance options include a new powercoated exhaust, a limited slip differential, rack & pinion steering, 4-wheel power disc brakes and refreshed 4-wheel independent suspension. It also comes equipped with air conditioning. This steel body, exotic Pantera is outstanding.
