Lot #742 - This 1972 Stutz Blackhawk is a very desirable early car from the second year of production. A favorite among celebrities, the very first Stutz built was purchased by Elvis Presley on October 9, 1970 for the then princeley sum of $26,500. Elvis owned at least three more Blackhawks, and other notable owners include Sammy Davis Jr. (he owned 3), Dean Martin (also owned 3), Lucille Ball, Johnny Cash, Muhammed Ali, Evel Knievel, Jerry Lewis, Elton John, Tom Jones, Paul McCartney, Al Pacino and a host of others. One of only 500 or so produced, this fabulous Stutz is finished in metallic maroon over a luxurious black Connolly leather interior. Typical for the Blackhawk, it is features power steering, power brakes, electric sunroof, wire wheels, wood and 24k gold interior trim and air conditioning. The stout GM running gear ensures reliability and ease of service along with excellent performance. The styling is sure to turn heads wherever you go. Virgil Exner styling, handmade Italian bodywork and luxurious fitting make this Stutz a worthy successor to the legendary original.
