Lot #1313.1 - This is an authentic Shelby GT500 as listed in the 1997 Shelby Registry. This car has had a complete rotisserie restoration. The car was Lime Gold originally, now painted a red base coat/clear coat. One unique feature of the Shelby stripes, they are painted in opalescent pear white. During the reassembly it was the desire to upgrade some of the performance parts without detracting from the original car. The brakes, wheels, dash pad, center console along with a steering rack were replaced. The wheels are 17" American Racing wheels with Toyo tires. SSBC cross-drilled rotors and 4piston calipers were used. A TCI rack & pinion, Hooker headers, and a Borla exhaust were also installed. This car retains its original C6 transmission with 3.73 gears and posi-traction rear. The interior is all original, except center console and gauge pad, and now features the signature of Carroll Shelby on the passenger dash.
