Lot #558 - This professionally built 1963 Ford unibody pickup is a re-creation of the Ford F-100 XL built by Detroit Steel Tubing back in 1963 and raced successfully in the B/FX factory experimental class. This is the only re-creation done of the original 1963 Ford F-100 XL. Detroit Steel Tubing also had a hand in many of Ford's racing cars of the 1960s. The original Ford F-100 XL truck is featured in the September 2012 issue of Hemming's Muscle Machines. This 1963 Ford pickup has been completely disassembled. The body was removed and sent out to be chemically dipped. The chassis was disassembled, sand blasted, boxed and painted. The 460cid engine has been bored .030 over and stroked to 532cid. The transmission is a rebuilt C6 automatic with full manual valve body. It has a complete new front straight axle. The rear end is a new Strange Ford 9" with 4.30 gears, street spool and 35-spline axle. It also has Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes with dual piston calipers. The custom paint, all graphics and stainless trim have been professionally air brushed on and cleared over. Most everything on this absolutely beautiful truck is new or rebuilt from top to bottom. Nothing was left untouched with only 70 miles showing on the fully functional Dakota Digital dash. This truck was made to be street driven and runs absolutely cool and day long. **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
