Description
Lot #1166 - This extremely rare Woody is an exceptional example of an exquisitely restored and lovingly maintained car. The original owners, the Braun family, purchased the car in Pittsburgh and had the vehicle lovingly restored by Bill Coleman of Huston, TX, who is considered one of the top experts on Model A restoration in the country. Every nut and bolt was gone through and restored, including replacing the excellent woodwork throughout the car. The engine was recently updated and is now running an H&H Model A touring engine out of California. It will now easily cruise at 50-60mph. The H&H rebuilt engine is done with stainless steel valves and seats. Over 3 million Model As were built from 1928 to 1931, but less than 12,000 Model A station wagons were built during the same three years of production. Because of the small number of Wagons produced and the rather limited longevity of the wooden body, only a few Woodys remain on the road today. This is a truly very unique and rare stunning Model A Woody wagon that received a no-expense-spared, rotisserie restoration.
