This impressive Impala was born in California and was manufactured in the Van Nuys plant. With its beautiful Ermine White and Roman Red color scheme, this is a professional restoration of a rust-free Bubbletop. Under the hood of this particular '61 Impala there's a high performance 348cid V8 with triple 2 barrel Tri-Power carburation and 3-speed turbo 400 transmission. Decoding the VIN number reveals, the sixth digit L is Los Angeles, CA, the Van Nuys Chevrolet plant that opened in 1947. Starting from the first digit 1 is year 1961, 18 is car series Impala V8 engine, 37 is 2 door hardtop sport coupe 5 passenger. The body tag located adjacent the power brake booster and master cylinder reveals this '61 Impala left the Van Nuys plant painted Code 936 Ermine White with a Roman Red painted within the blaze in the body side molding. The wide white tires are a striking contrast to the red and white exterior color scheme. This is a fine specimen of an all time favorite.
