Lot #1150.2 - 1963 Lincoln continental rear and real triple black suicide 4 door convertible. Only 3,138 convertibles were made in 1963, which is less than 10% of the cars produced, and to find a real triple black makes this is a very rare example. Matching numbers factory N Code 430cid V8, dual range, and factory 3-speed automatic transmission. Only three owners and only 89,196 miles since new, though not documented. The Lincoln retains its original California black plates as were registered on its California title. Comes complete with the original manuals, Warranty Book, Maintenance Log and receipts and California Registrations dating back to 1972. Build date of December 17, 1962. The original owner as documented on the Warranty Card was D.R. Rhoades of Woodland Hills, CA, and he purchased the Lincoln on 3-12-63 from Van Nuys Motors a Lincoln Dealer in Van Nuys, CA. He kept the car until 1972, when it was sold to the second owner, David Miller of Orange, CA, who had an extensive collection of pre- and postwar vehicles. It was essentially off the road while he owned it for 37 years. It was sold in 2009 to its third owner. The convertible top and power window mechanisms were rebuilt by renowned Lincoln rebuilder John Cashman, who claimed it was one of the finest unmolested Lincoln convertibles he had ever seen. The body is deadly straight and evidence of the care and attention this Lincoln received. Original factory air conditioning, which will require a service. The power convertible top works exceptionally, as does all the power equipment.
