Description
Lot #1304 - This 1966 Corvette Pro-Touring Resto-Mod is a ground-up build on a hand-fabricated chassis based on the design of Art Morrison/West Coast Chassis. West Coast Chassis offers a mandrel-bent rectangular tube frame that accepts the most up-to-date C6 Corvette suspension components and drivetrain pieces. That is just one of the many strengths of this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Resto-Mod. With the exception of the rear quarters sitting 3" wider to accommodate the wide Pirelli performance tires and chromed ZR1 wheels, the body remains almost completely stock. Under the 427 hood resides an LS3 430hp engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Side pipe exhaust bring this beast to life and exposes the car's true nature. The C6 suspension is handled by the QA1 coilovers and steered by the power rack & pinion. The C6 brake system stops this car on a dime. The interior is completely brand-new and Dynomatted from the firewall down and is just another example of the effort put in to make this the best of both the modern and classic world. Classic Auto air conditioning, IDIDIT tilt column, digital converted gauges and power windows.
