Over 1,800 hours of labor and thousands of dollars of parts and materials spent on the restoration. AMX original 390 V8 with heads, intake and exhaust manifolds. Chrome bumpers replated, original grille and radiator. New interior includes seats, door panels, carpet, dash and wood grain inlay, interior trim, new tail lights and lenses, marker lights, all stainless steel trim replaced or restored, new clutch, fuel tank, new 15" Magnum 500 wheels with spinners and Goodyear performance radials, Motor Trend summed up a road test of the 1970 AMX with a 390 engine as one of the better constructed cars around, described as one of the best versions yet of this blend of muscle car and sports car.
