Description
Lot #1081 - The 2013 Popular Hot Rodding Muscle Car of the Year, this 1981 twin turbo Trans Am has an incredible 1,042 rear wheel horsepower for acceleration that rivals the world's best Supercars. Dyno results are included to back up the claim. Don't let the power scare you, though: this car can be driven everywhere and anywhere with ease. To reliably harness the more than 1,000 rear wheel horsepower, the car features a quick-shifting 4L80E overdrive transmission made by one of the best names in the industry, Bowler Transmissions. Built by 2013 Car Craft Pro builder of the Year, Schwartz Performance, this is Jeff Schwartz's personal Trans Am. The full tube Schwartz Performance chassis has multi-link rear suspension in place of the factory leaf springs, as well as tubular front suspension, Ridetech triple adjustable remote reservoir coilover shocks and rack & pinion steering. 14" monobloc 6-piston disc brakes slow the car down. The fuel injected 415cid LS engine has forged internals, dry sump oiling with two massive turbos, air conditioning that works and power steering. Part of a ground-up restoration with fully painted surfaces, the body has been mini-tubbed to accommodate the extra wide Forgeline alloy wheels. The interior has Stack gauges, a Ridetech "Tiger Cage" roll bar and custom stereo with CD.
