Lot #1086 - With over $300,000 invested and just 600 miles since its three-year build, this stunning multiple award-winning, Pro-Touring Nomad has been handcrafted to be the very highest of show standards. Powered by a GM LS6, 405hp crate motor and fitted with Street and Performance components, custom headers, Flowmaster 3" exhaust, polished aluminum radiator, 32-gallon custom aluminum fuel tank and, mated to a GM T56 manual 6-speed transmission and a 9" rear end with 3.73 posi-traction. Powder coated Art Morrison full frame chassis, 4-bar rear suspension with Strange Engineering double adjustable coilovers. IFS tubal upper and lower A-arms with rack & pinion steering and front double adjustable coilovers. Wilwood master cylinder, hydraulic slave and 13" front and rear drilled and slotted rotors with 4-piston calipers and ABS electric brake system. Stunning Schott Modsport aluminum wheels with 3-bar knock-offs and Pirelli Rosso tires complete this package. The body was finished with Glasurit two-stage black and silver custom-mix paint with silver two-toned accents. The door handles and keyholes were shaved and are now remote-controlled, as is the rear tailgate. A custom-tilt hood was fabricated, the wipers were smoothed, and all the exterior trim and hardware has been chrome plated to show-quality standards, including the front and rear smoothed bumpers. The amazing one-off interior is finished in a two-tone black leather and suede combination with four eight-way power adjustable bucket seats. Fitted with a Flaming River tilt column and Famosa leather wrapped steering wheel, custom engine-turned dash and Auto Meter gauges. Ice-cold air conditioning blows from the front and rear dual unit system from Vintage Air. The custom aluminum center console is fitted with an Eclipse Premium Sound touchscreen with AM/FM/DVD/CD/MP3, navigation system and Sirius satellite radio with six speakers and custom subwoofer boxes. This spectacular 1956 Nomad has been finished to the highest of professional standards and its award-winning history attests to its build quality and design. Awards not included.
