Description
Lot #2002 - Take home this piece of NASCAR history. To commemorate the 60 years of NASCAR, the late Bruce Rossmeyer, CEO of 15 Harley-Davidson locations, including the World's Largest Harley-Davidson dealership located at Bruce Rossmeyer's Destination Daytona, teamed up with NASCAR to create 60 custom motorcycles, each individually serialized #1 through #60. Each motorcycle in the officially licensed NASCAR 60th Anniversary Motorcycle Series brought to you by Destination Daytona captures the true essence of NASCAR, a sport that combines design, technology and speed. This bike is #60 of 60, the last bike in the series. The bike is powered by a 110cid Screaming Eagle Twin Cam 110B engine that is bored 4 over with a 4.38 stroke to produce 108hp and 110 ft/lbs of torque. The smooth-shifting transmission is a 6-speed Cruise Drive system. The stance achieves the classic Harley-Davidson style with a 69" wheelbase, 4.5" ground clearance and a 35-degree rake. The 60th bike, like all of the NASCAR 60th Anniversary Bikes, is uniquely badged with its limited edition number on the "jockey shift" knob, engine cylinder head and timing cover. The decorative jockey shift is non-functional. The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, Inc. (NASCAR), which celebrated 60 years in 2008, is the sanctioning body for one of North America's premier sports. NASCAR is the No. 1 spectator sport — holding 17 of the top 20 highest-attended sporting events in the U.S., and is the No. 2 rated regular-season sport on television. NASCAR races are broadcast in more than 150 countries and in more than 30 languages.
