Lot #245 - This Mustang has been custom built from the ground up and won the 1958-1967 Restored Class at the 2014 Cleveland Piston Powered Autorama with trophy included. The exterior is painted with PPG Wimbledon White base coat and Guardsman Blue metallic racing stripes. The Deltron top-of-the-line paint with clear coats has been wet sanded and buffed to show quality by Amherst Classic Cars. This Mustang has an upgraded Pony blue and white interior and looks great. The car was sand blasted to bare metal underneath and repainted to look original. All rusted metal was replaced with new metal welded in place. It has a new hood, fenders and doors. This car handles very well and stops great with upgraded power front disc brakes. The dash cluster is upgraded. The HiPo 289 V8 has a C4 automatic transmission with power steering so anyone can drive it. It also has an aluminum radiator for excellent cooling even on hot days. The wheels have brand new upgraded Goodyear radial tires for a great ride. It is built to drive in comfort, has 3,000 miles on its rebuilt motor and all the bugs worked out.
