Description
Lot #735 - The "Zoomie Deuce" is an award winning '32 roadster with only the best-of-the-best parts. Over 4 years, 3,000 hours to create a perfect blend of beautiful lines, gleaming polish and lightweight race-bred technology. This '32 has been in magazines and won numerous top honors including being chosen as a finalist for the coveted title of "America's Most Beautiful Roadster" at the Grand National Roadster Show and being invited to Blackie Gejeian's Fresno Autorama where it won Best in Show. Powered by a 351 Ford Racing engine featuring GT40 aluminum heads, shorty water pump, color matched Taylor wires, H.P.C. coating, custom made carbon fiber valve covers and Griffin aluminum radiator. Every part that could be removed was polished or chromed. The exhaust exits through very cool Zoomies featuring remote cutout valves. The Art Carr modified Ford AOD transmission features has a 2,500 RPM converter, polished aluminum case and backs up to a polished 3" aluminum drive shaft. The body was prepared by Darrell Zipp and features hand formed aluminum hood and side panels by Flynn Millard, polished stainless billet grill by Dan Fink and gorgeous PPG Show Car Yellow paint with custom gold pearl top coat expertly applied by Starvin Marvin Miller. Lighting is provided by PIAA LED headlights inside custom hand-blown Lexan fairings and LED taillights. The frame features highly modified and pinched '32 frame rails. The amazing and trick independent front suspension features inboard Alden coilovers with cantilever A-arms. The system is by Kugel Komponents and is completely polished down to the stainless steel spindles. Rear suspension is fully independent featuring a Dutchman unit with stainless locating links, Alden coilovers, aluminum Strange Engineering center section and 3" aluminum half shafts, all fully polished, with a limited slip 9" Ford differential and 3.56:1 gears. Wilwood discs brakes with polished dual puck aluminum calipers and dual polished aluminum Tilton master cylinders. Rack & pinion steering with Borgeson stainless u-joints and shafts and a modified Cadillac steering column with tilt and telescopic features. All fluid lines are custom formed in stainless steel tubing and polished. The interior is rich black Italian leather upholstery and leather bound wool carpet, Lokar pedals and footrest, custom carbon fiber dash and 4-in-1 Stewart Warner gauge cluster. Extreme finish and detail is continued in the trunk with matching leather interior dress, a full Snap-On tool set custom concealed and a custom 600-watt remote controlled Rockford Fosgate sound system. Even the license plate was modified to electrically tilt up when the owner wishes to better show the gleaming rear suspension details.
