Lot #780 - This is a truly fabulous Packard. This particular example is the only known Phaeton on the 1402 Eight chassis. It has had a thorough, accurate and high point restoration. The car is finished in dark green with a tan pin stripe, matching leather upholstery and a tan cloth top, while the wheels are painted body color with chrome hubcaps, trim rings and wide white wall Firestone tires. Equipment includes a driver's side spotlight, luggage rack, jump seats, ride control, a top-pivoted opening windshield and "donut chaser" radiator mascot. It is a beautiful automobile with an equivalent restoration in tasteful colors. Top up or top down this is a stunning Packard Eight that will not be out of place in even the finest collections of elegant coachwork.
