Description
Lot #338 - This 1965 Chevelle gasser is powered by a 454cid big block V8 breathing through a tunnel ram topped with dual Holley 4 barrel carburetors while open headers dump exhaust gasses through open fender wells. A 3-speed 400 Turbo Hydramatic transmission takes care of shifting duties through a 12-bolt rear end while the engine bay is dressed up with a chrome alternator, fuel pump and vacuum stacks. A heavy-duty radiator keeps this beast cool. Painted in Hugger Orange with 1960s era hand-painted sponsor logos and a front mounted gas bottle authenticates the look of this traditional gasser. '60s style 5-spoke mags shod with street and strip tires provide you with the traction you need to get you down the quarter mile while front disc/rear drum brakes slow you down at the end of your run. The businesslike interior features front bucket seats and a rear bench covered in black vinyl with full black carpeting. Shifting the TH400 transmission is a B&M ratchet floor shifter while Sun Pro under dash gauges and steering wheel mounted tachometer provide you with information on what's going on with the monster 454 up front. A roll bar finishes the authentic look of the inside of this car while providing added safety.
