Description
Lot #395 - This highly customized, '56 Chevy truck, has undergone a meticulous, frame-off restoration by the Team at Velocity Restorations. This black beauty sits on a powder coated custom chassis. The chassis was outfitted with Mustang II IFS, stainless 4-link, Ridetech's complete Shockwave air ride system, custom fabricated 20 gallon fuel cell, narrowed rear end with Strange axles and 3.73 positraction unit. Chassis was outfitted with an upgraded LS1. Engine was upgraded with LS2 fuel injectors, intake and 96MM throttle body. Engine was hooked to a 4L60E automatic transmission to obtain optimal cruising RPM's. 4-wheel disc brakes were installed to stop the deep lip 20"x12" American Racing Torq Thrust wheels with the 345/35/20 Toyo tires. After completing the chassis detail, the attention was turned to the body. The body of this truck was incredibly solid, however hundreds of hours were spent on body work and panel alignment to achieve perfection. Custom fabrication on the body includes: Cadillac lights, shaved firewall, tubbed bed, shaved bed panels and rails, hidden tailgate latches, center console and 59 Impala dash installed. Tuxedo Black paint was applied with four coats of clear and then color sanded to 3000 grit for a deep wet, mirror-like look. Under the hood was fitted with an AutoRad complete core support, radiator and condenser setup. Hood was fitted with billet hood hinges. Interior of this truck is what really sets it apart from the rest. The focus point is the '59 Impala dash installed with custom center console and Lokar shifter. The dash was outfitted with Dakota Digital speedometer cluster, air conditioning controller and air ride controller. The billet air conditioning vents match interior lighting fixtures and door pulls. Cab is wrapped from top to bottom in the highest grade torch red leather. The one piece power windows with billet switches and bear claw latches, complete the cab with all the modern conveniences.
