Description
Lot #935.1 - This Crown Victoria was fully restored in the late 1990s to a very high standard, and it's been immaculately kept and sparingly driven since. Under the hood, the factory 292cid Thunderbird V8 has been upgraded with a period correct Ford accessory 3x2 triple carburetor set-up on a hard to find vintage Edelbrock 573 big bore aluminum intake manifold. In the restoration, the car was refinished in its factory correct Fiesta Red/Colonial White two tone paint scheme with red and white two tone interior, exactly as it left Ford's Chicago assembly line. Other notable features include 3-speed column shift transmission, power assisted brakes, Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels with brand new wide white wall tires, split rear bench seat, push-button radio and chrome bumper over-riders. For 1956, Crown Victorias made up just 1.4% of total Fairlane production. This Fiesta Red Tri-Power car is a very attractive premium quality example.
