Lot #1593 - This wild 1948 Buick Super street rod was totally restored and customized after nearly 30 years in storage. Over $150,000 was invested with virtually every conceivable component restored or customized. Under the unique side-opening hood is a pavement-pounding 502cid Chevy big block engine backed by a heavy duty 700R4 transmission and 9" posi-traction rear end. The body is sectioned and finished in custom mixed pearl orange and metallic black two tone, and it features frenched headlights and tail lamps, strategically black-out trim, a large custom panorama moonroof, shaved door handles and the brightwork that remains is all new or restored. Other notable features include genuine Black Angus seats, custom center console, digital instrumentation, Vintage Air air conditioning system, a custom sound system with a touchscreen panasonic audio/GPS Navigation/DVD display and Focal speakers, power seats, power steering, power disc brakes, and forged Boze light alloy wheels.
